Reordering Glass for Existing Job

Standard operating procedure for reordering glass on an existing job — update the original work order in Smart Glazier, cut a rework PO, and move the opportunity through GHL and the Scheduler so the field team picks it back up on the correct day.

Step One — Evaluate the Scope

  • Confirm what is actually changing on this job before touching anything in Smart Glazier or GHL.Familiarize yourself with the job, check the Return Report, and make sure you completely understand what needs to happen before making any changes.

Step Two — Update the Order in Smart Glazier

In Smart Glazier, open Make Changes to Order on the existing work order.

  • Screenshot the existing work order before you start editing it.Upload the screenshots to the job’s Drive folder so we have a record of what was originally built — we may need to revert.
  • Edit the measurements, outages, and any other fields that need to match the new scope.
  • If holes have already been drilled in the customer’s tile, confirm the cutouts on the new panel(s) will line up with those existing holes. If the panel is changing sizes, we might need to move the cutout left/right or up/down to match the holes already drilled.
  • Update the Diary with every change you made.

Step Three — Create a New PO in Smart Glazier

  • Create a new PO on the job.
  • Add the new glass components.
  • Mark the PO as REWORK.Click the Purchase Details tab at the top, then click Mark as Rework.
  • Send the PO to the vendor.

Step Four — Move the Opportunity in GHL

  • Move the opportunity into the Waiting to be Scheduled stage.

Step Five — Update the Opportunity in Scheduler

  • Open the opportunity in schedule.isd.tools and update it with the correct info.Set Status: Revisit, confirm City and State, set install hours, and review any other fields that may have changed with the new scope.
